How
Does it Work?
|
S4F stands for "Server-Side Sub-System Filtering." This
new technology is several times faster than proxy based systems.
The filtering works by checking every web destination I.P. address
against a database of blocked sites. The request generates
a simple "yes" or "no" response (usually
within a fraction of a second), and releases the request to be
processed through your local connection. This makes S4F an excellent
choice for filtering broadband connections such as cable modems,
DSL, or ASDL service.
By blocking at the server level, the pornographic content never reaches
your computer. Usually server-based services can be easily bypassed by
changing an option in your browser, but S4F is not dependent on browser
settings. You cannot disable our service without canceling the
